    Quartz' greatest advantage is the insane accuracy, so yeah I'd definetely consider buying

    I went to collect the online exclusive SBGA469 from my local Boutique only to find I didn't like it. They had an SBGX343 Black Dial in stock & I was very taken with it. I went from not being aware of this model's existence, to buying a mint pre-owned example in a matter of hours. Fantastic watch. The Case, the Lume, no Date, 200m WR & half a Milgauss AM rating. So different yet so cool! Perfect daytime Tool Watch & a great compliment to my SGBE249 "silver blizzard" Spring Drive GMT. I needed the 2 years with the Spring Drive to soften me up for full Quartz :)

    Super video and thanks for the close ups and initial feeling of this watch. This watch is absolutely on my short list BECAUSE its the 9f Quartz and because it simply looks amazing - the dial is so clean with the pops of orange and the case looks magnificent! Better still, just discovered the London boutique have one in stock so I can finally try one one :)

    Don't car less if it's a quartz or not. I just want something I can truly understand the love and attention that went in it when created and built. I love the story behind and the coherence of it. It is the case with gs quartz.

    I currently own two Grand Seiko watches, both with a variant of their 9F quartz movement. I am after more, and the black version of the watch you reviewed here is right up there. A Spring-Drive watch will be added to my collection in the future, that is definite.
    For me, nothing trumps overall accuracy so I have found myself thinning my automatic and manual wind watches in favour of quartz.
    Keep up the good work, and keep well :-)

    When I saw the sbgv a couple of years back, I really wanted if, but couldn’t get it because it was a hard find, and when I did find them for sale, it was way too expensive. I actually think this sbgx is better aesthetically. And it’s much more affordable, depending on where one looks (yes admittedly, I found quite a few in the gray market. And I bought one.) gorgeous, versatile, distinguished, every-occasion-timepiece.

    Thanks for the review, I currently own a Breitling Aerospace Advantage and am searching for a slightly dressier white dial to my collection before I saw this video I was leaning towards the Omega Aqua Tera but this appears to be a very clean understated classic watch in quartz which is even better , high end quartz watches are the best of both worlds IMHO, accuracy and luxury all in one package, .

    Great looking watch! Congratulations on a very cool watch. Think it is the same watch as my sbgp015. Tough and good looking. Wear it to work on a farm sometimes. Also have a dressier one. Sbgo017.
    Quartz vs mechanical? I have too many mechanical watches. Having a 10 sec a year quartz is great. Just bought a special , for me, sbgx033. Could have bought this watch as a mechanical, but chose not to. 9f forever movement.

    I have this SBGX341; and am surprised how much I Iike it. It is perfectly smart casual. I like to wear it at least as much as my various automatics or my spring drive. I was thinking to wear it as as sole watch during an upcoming 1 month long trip. It does have a little weakness in that the bezel edges oh so easily pick up little dings. I may bring the SBGP015 instead for that trip as it has easy hour change without stopping, and a protective ceramic bezel; otherwise a similar though slightly longer case and 200m WR as well.

    I prefer black dials but Man you make me like this white one a lot. That LUME !!

    I want an explorer however i’m close to buying this. The lume i love. However, the bracelet with no micro adjustment is a killer for me. This is why I’ll prefer to wait for the explorer as it has the 5mm extension.
    I have a GS already and im currently wearing it on a aftermarket leather strap because the lack of micro adjustment.
    I LOVE THIS QUARTS. Pick it up and go, lume that’s great. But I might get it randomly or i’ll wait for the Explorer

    • @edwardcatt2399
      @edwardcatt2399 9 месяцев назад

      @TheMonsterHunterTV - absolutely! It _can_ be difficult for us watch aficionados to abandon our quartz-snobbery but when we can finally do so and come to realize that quartz is no less ‘artisanal’ than automatic it opens up a whole new world of possible high-end options . . . and nobody can deny that the accuracy is a major tick! (pun, hehe).
      I’m getting this next week . . . _probably_ . . . A small and subtle GS dress watch of 37mm is also tempting but . . . _nah,_ I’m going big! 👍

    Hello, sorry to bother you, but I hope you help me. Thanks to your review I bought this watch. Really mastrpiece, but now I’m trying to set the time and I don’t want to hurt anything 😀. Could you tell me if I have to turn the crown on before pulling it out? I’ve nawet had this type of watch. So briefly speaking if the crown is turning on/off or it is just pulled on and off. Looking for your answear - best regards. Adam

    • @FratelloMagazine
      @FratelloMagazine  Год назад

      Hi, congrats on the watch! You can always check the manual, if you don't have it, it is also online via the GS website. Anyways, the SBGX341 has a screw-down crown, meaning you need to unscrew it first. When you can just turn the crown in any direction without being blocked or stopped, you can safely pull it out and set the time.

    GS really need to get better photos on their website. This video makes the watch look way better.
    Magnetic resistance as its main selling point is a bit strange. It claims lesser magnetic resistance than Milgauss or AT.
    +/-10s per year is not impressive at that price point.
    No quick adjustment on the clasp, doesn't feel very sporty.
